Practice had just ended and Raven was the last off the field. That's how it usually was. She sometimes stayed behind to practice more. She always seemed to put in the extra effort for the team. She had heard some of the other team members whisper about her becoming the next captain. As cool as that would be she already had her heart set on staying a Prefect and eventually becoming Head Girl. She didn't want the extra responsibilities. She stayed behind because this was one of the only things she truly enjoyed doing and much wasn't expected of her as an individual. That is how a team worked.
She had been on the team for a few years now and did well to hold her position. She loved being a keeper. She got to analyze and watch the match waiting for the right moment to strike, just like a snake. Raven chucked at her own inside joke. She did act like a snake at times. She figured it had to do with her best friend being a snake. That or her family. She convinced herself it was Onyx's fault. It had taken some convincing for her family to accept her playing Quidditch but as usual she was able to come up with some off the wall reason that convinced her parents that it was in her best interest to be apart of the team. She would never let them know she was doing it for her own amusement.
