"No kids, we'll take it from here. Come now, Isaac, we've arraigned a ride for you." With that, the woman pointed her wand at Isaac's trunks and made them float since he had let someone else take the cart he was using hours ago. She didn't quite wait for him as he watched her walk back towards the platform for Hogwarts, letting him know that the train was going to take them somewhere and that he probably wasn't going to like it.

"Bye Ravenna. Bye Oliver." He whispered hoarsely, hugging Oliver back before walking after Auror Rainer and hoping that they were going home instead of back to school. Isaac wanted to be with his family, not in an empty castle by himself.

There was no way the Auror's were going to tell them anything. Or let them help out anymore. She watched as Isaac followed them back to the train. She stood and bowed her head in respect to her father when he passed and waited till he was gone before saying anything. She didn't want him to hear. Raven knew that when she got home she would have much explaining to do. She wasn't too worried about it though. She was sure she could come up with something that would appease her family. Right now her main concern was Isaac. 

"We should talk, but not here" Raven didn't look at Oliver when she spoke. She rubbed the back of her neck. If felt wrong to not have Onyx there. Really wrong. But she sent the snake off on a mission for a good reason. She motioned for Oliver to accompany her as she walked. She didn't know the Gryffindor very well but right now they had something in common. She didn't care if she was coming off as bossy.

The pair of Aurors took Isaac and after the boy returned the hug and said good bye he was gone. There were no cameras or muggles in the area and so he shrunk his trunk down to size and placed it in his bag. When Raveena said they had to talk but they couldn't talk here he nodded. 

"I think you might be right, by the way I should say congrats you were quite spectacular in the match last week." Oliver said smiling, he wanted to break the ice a little since they weren't really friends and yet just acted like friends in front of her father. "So where would you like to go, still my treat." 

Oliver smiled as he stood extending his hand, "We may be a lion and a snake but this could be fun, if you want to give it a shot and are not worried I could infect you." he laughed a little, "Though I think if that was the case you wouldn't have stuck up for Isaac like you did so maybe you aren't to bad afterall." Oliver smiled again once is laughter subsided.

To say she was taken aback about the complement about the quidditch game was an understatement. The game seemed so far away now. Sure she was name MVP and what not. To her it was just another title added to the list. It was something she could used to make sure her siblings stayed in their place but that was it. "Umm..thanks. Your team did put up a good fight" She said with a slight chuckle. She was so tense with the whole situation that she had to scold herself for being caught off guard. She was usually good with having something smart to say, some plan.

Where to go? "To be honest I only know of wizard ran establishments and that might not be the best place to go right now. Know any place where people wont be paying much attention to two people?" Raven asked. No plan, nothing. Sure she thought ahead with Onyx but she had spent most of her life behind walls. If she went out it was to some wizard owned place. 

She laughed at his statement about their houses. "I am a true Slytherin. That does not mean I am a stereotypical one. Besides he is best friends with someone I swore to protect. I figure that means he is under my protection as well" Raven stated thinking back to the little Hufflepuff first year that grew attached. It wasn't a bad thing, in fact it made the Slytherin a little more open.

Thinking for a moment Oliver remembered there was a quaint little diner a few blocks away from the train station, it was steady but not overly crowded and it was a muggle establishment if he remembered correctly. "There is a nice diner a few blocks away and it is muggle owned if I am remembering properly. Busy but not packed most of the time, I can't remember the name but the food is pretty good as are the drinks."

Oliver looked at Raveena carefully and thought she looked a little flustered but she was an expert at hiding it so he wasn't even sure he saw it correctly. "You are full of surprises aren't you, well surprises, intelligence and a good balance of kindness and determination." smiling he added, "So would you like to accompany a lion, I promise I won't bite, unless you ask me too."

A muggle diner. That would work. It would be safe from any people she felt that they needed to worry about. Pure bloods who wanted muggle borns dead would never step in a muggle owned diner. "Sounds Good" She stated motioning for Oliver to lead the way. His overly friendly persona was strange. She was so used to people, well like her. Stiffs, keeping their feelings to themselves. Never open. It took a good eye to tell what they were feeling.  


Raven wasn't sure how to take the complements. The only time she received complements was when people wanted something of her or just trying to stay on her good side. She never took them seriously. She was the Slytherin Princess and well respected at school but here she was out of her element. She didn't have to act or keep up some persona, but she was so used to doing so it was hard to let her guard down. She would have to admit she kind of liked it. 

"It's the Snakes you have to worry about, we tend to have some venom in our bite" Raven stated with a sly grin and a hit of playfulness in her voice. She didn't mind paying along.

As he lead Raveena towards the exit of the train station he had to admit she was a very interesting person to be around, she may be a snake truly but she wasn't acting like many he had seen through his years. Even now that there was something that they had in common with protecting Isaac he still felt he wanted to spend more time with her. "So I guess we might have picked up a little brother today, I have to say it would be a little refreshing not being the youngest anymore." 

Looking at Raveena he shrugged, "Sorry, I am the baby of the family, four older siblings and I am four years younger than the twins the closest in age to me.I love them all but sometimes, it sucks being the youngest." 

They made it to the exit and he held the door open and smiled realizing he didn’t want it to be a conversation about his family, not yet at least. "I think I might have to test your theory, since as far as I can see your venom isn't really directed at me. I am up for the challenge though." He said with a wink.

Picked up a little brother. It made Raven wonder if she was trying to compensate for something. She didn't get along with the twins and now she was acting like an older sibling to two younger student. Sure the friendship with Aubri wasn't planed but neither was this situation. "Yeah I guess so. I have been finding myself with a lot more younger siblings lately" Raven sighed. It wasn't a burden really, just that she was slowly falling away from what she was suppose to be and more into the person she wanted to be.  


Raven wondered if she should tell him about her own. It wasn't exactly giving away anything and the conversation was refreshing. "I have two younger siblings and my cousin lives with us as well. Pure blood family. Anyway they don't go to Hogwarts which honestly is a huge relief" If there was anything she was fully willing to be open about it was her hatred for her siblings. They were in competition even her parents were alright for the hate there. It just made them stronger. At least that is what her parents would say.

He was right, her venom was not directed at him per-say. She did enjoy the back and forth play. Make the most of the situation. He could be useful and wasn't bad looking either. "I bet you are. Would defiantly be fun to watch" Raven gave Oliver a wink as she walked through the doorway.

Thinking about his home life he had to admit it was hard at times being so much younger but still he was close with most of this siblings. His eldest sister in particular, even though she wasn't a witch she was still incredibly talented and strong. "Out of the five of us only my eldest brother and I shared my father's gift. I know it might be odd coming from a pureblood family but I guess I think of magic as a gift. I am really close to my older sister and she never showed any signs of magic yet she is one of the strongest and most inspiring people I know." Smiling he added, "With your venom and surprising talents you might just rank up there with her."

Once they exited the station he turned to the right and leaned in a little closer to her and said, "I will test out your venom but maybe I should try and surprise you when I take up the challenge, either that or see how well we interact as friends." he reached out and brushed a stray hair behind her ear and said, "There, now no hair is out of place." standing up straight again he flashed her a smile.

"So if you don't mind me asking what's it like growing up in a pureblood family?"

Raven listened closely when he spoke of his family. A mixed blood. At least her father wouldn't disapprove too much. Granted he would never allow there to be a relationship other that mutual gain there. She wasn't really suppose to have friends. There is no such thing. Her father would tell her. Just people who will help you rise to power. She did have a couple though and it was nice. Maybe this could be the third.

It was interesting hearing Oliver refer to magic as a gift. In a way it was. She was always torn between if it was a gift or a curse. She still wondered if it would have been better to let her parents think she was a Squib. But she did love magic too much to give it up. She wouldn't know what she would have done without her snake friends. She wasn't sure if she liked being compared to his sister or not. "Thanks...I think?" She half asked wondering if he was just genially being nice or if there was some other reason to it. 

Friends. See how they interacted. If this was school there would be no interaction. And he certainly would not be able to get a close as he was. If Onyx was still with her he would have stroke at Oliver for touching her. She did have to admire his boldness and his charming smile.

Growing up in her family. She wasn't sure how to answer. "I guess it depends on the family like any other family out there. Mine is very strict and tradition orientated. Also very closed minded, so I guess you can say they are the stereotypical purebloods. Then again they have hundreds of years worth of traditions to uphold as well as a powerful name" Raven's voice was very level. She wasn't trying to make excuses on how her family acted but she also wasn't sure she trusted Oliver enough to really tell him what her family was like. It was a tricky subject.

So her family was rather traditional that wasn't to out of the ordinary, and yet he was surprised that Raveena seemed to prefer rebelling against the traditional sense of her family. Well in regards to the blood purity from what he had seen so far. He thought about what he could say in return as they walked and finally said, "Traditions can be their own blessing or their own curse. Even some muggles have interesting traditions. I am sorry for going into a rather personal conversation so quickly, it's your turn though as it is only fair you can ask me anything you want to know and I will answer it as truthfully as I can."

As he waited for her to potentially ask a question he led them down the street and made sure they made the correct turn. Soon he saw the diner and smiled, "We're here, and the offers are still on the table you can have anything you want on the menu my treat and any personal question you want to ask I will answer."

Ask any question. She really didn't know what to ask. She knew all she needed to at that moment. He was protective of Isaac, was a mixed blood gryffindor, and cared for his large family. What more did she need to know. Sure there were questions but noting came to mind right away. "If it is all the same to you, I will save my questions for a later time. They might come in handy" It was a very Slytherin thing of her to say. It was just how she was. Asking Oliver anything right now wouldn't serve her any good, but he might be useful later. 

Raven knew that he was touching on personal questions but it didn't bother her. She told him basics but never gave away anything from what she said. Granted her actions showed more and her tone could give some things away. They were on the same side for the time being and she did enjoy the conversation even if her intentions were just to have a little fun before she was thrown into the politics of the pure blood society. 

She looked around the dinner. She didn't like it. It wasn't the place itself, it was quite quaint. It just wasn't familer. She wasn't used to being in such a casual place. She was defiantly overdressed and felt very out of place. She didn't want to say anything and looked to Oliver hoping he would take the hint and take charge of the situation. She hated having to rely on someone else and never really had to.

"Sounds like a good plan." Smiling, he placed a hand lightly on the small of her back as he led her towards a table close to the window but with a good sight line around the diner and the door. Once they were at the table he pulled out a chair for her, "Would you like coffee or tea to start, they don't have pumpkin juice here, sadly."

As he waited for her to take a seat he watched as a waitress slowly began walking towards them and he waived her off for a moment seeing as they had barely had the chance to look at the menu. Once she had taken a seat he pushed the chair in and took the seat opposite her.

"They have some great all day breakfasts or we could do some Mac and Cheese or Burgers. That's what I would recommend but everything else is still very good as well." He said as he handed her a menu.

She was kind of alright with him leading her to a table. She wasn't going to admit it but she did like the fell of his hand on her back. She never dated before so the feeling was strange but nice. She didn't date because she knew her parents were going to pick a husband for her. She just hoped it was one that wouldn't get in the way of her gaining power. She did hope slightly that it was someone she did like but knew not to voice those opinions. With knowing that she never dated since it would be pointless. But she never did entertain the idea of just fooling around with someone.

At least he was a gentlemen. She smiled when he mentioned that they didn't serve pumpkin juice. "Not much of a pumpkin juice person anyway. I'll have some tea, thank you" She purred with a half grin. Raven looked over the menu still at a loss at what to get. She knew muggle food and the food she ate weren't very different. "A burger sounds good" She placed the menu down wondering what to say next. She didn't really have any questions but she didn't want to sit in silence. "Which one would you recommend?" She figured it was simple enough.

Once they were seated the waitress made her way over and she asked him what they wanted to start with, smiling politely he said, "Two Green teas please." The waitress smiled and walked away entering in the order and preparing it for them. Once she left the table he turned back to Raven, "I hope you don't mind they have a nice green tea here, loose leaf tea with some citrus highlights." He stopped and then scratched the back of his neck, "As I was the youngest I got dragged around to a lot of my mom and older sister's lunch dates with friends and they all loved tea. Its hard not to pick it up when that is some of the only things you hear them talk about."

Clearing his throat Oliver looked at the menu to see which burgers they were highlighting today, the bacon, mushroom swiss and the breakfast burgers were two of his favorites and they both were there but then they had the buffalo chicken burger it was going to be a hard choice. Looking at Raven he said, "Really you can't go wrong with any of them but if you like spice the Buffalo Chicken Burger is a favorite of mine, though there is a fair bit of spice. Then there is the breakfast burger, you get an angus beef patty with an egg over easy, bacon and cheddar cheese it is the best of both worlds." Laughing he added, "I know it seems odd to put an egg on a burger but seriously it works out quite nicely. Finally there is the Bacon Mushroom Swiss, it is an old favorite of mine."

He took a moment to look at the menu and figured any of those three burgers would be a great choice, though he was leaning towards either the buffalo chicken or the breakfast burger. "They also come with a side of french fries or a salad."
