The early history of Stoneshore Keep is unclear. At some point the Catholic Church converted it into a Monastery and it remained that way for a number of years before a failed demon exorcism lead to the surrounding village being destroyed. Following that, the Keep fell into ruins for over one hundred years before a young and curious priest rediscovered it and tried to restore it to it’s former glory. Stoneshore, however, has been unable to shake the ties with the supernatural world that have haunted the place since the village was ruined.
A group of the Catholics made it their mission to capture and incarcerated as many ‘devil-creatures’ as they could find and they locked them up in the Keep’s dungeons away from society. Visitors from the rest of the island would travel to the Keep to face the monsters within and prove their bravery and mock those locked up. Above, this became a cause for grave concern, and a group of eight angels were sent to Stoneshore Keep to right the wrongs that had been done.
Over the years, Stoneshore gained a reputation of being a Supernatural safe haven - an asylum that could help other supernaturals who needed it, and care for those who were unable to co-exist peacefully alongside the human population. Supernatural’s from all over the world traveled to Stoneshore - the only place of it’s kind. Patients, doctors, locals… A new community has been formed there, separated from the rest of the island. Island locals built a canal between them and Stoneshore, and both sides are satisfied with the arrangement.
These days, two of the original angels are in charge of the overall running of Stoneshore Keep, and other supernaturals (and a few humans) run the asylum as a whole. A place of safety and rehabilitation… mostly.
Only, things are about to change - the last two angels are preparing to leave and the running of the asylum is about to fall into the hands of someone new. No one knows who it will be, or how they will run things.

Stoneshore Keep could be in store for a rather unexpected change of ways very soon, and who knows what that will mean for it's future...
