WHO ARE YOU?
[ PERSONALITY ]
Taze is a small town guy from Oklahoma. And he basically represents all that comes along with being from tinytown America. He is a southern gentleman. He is the type to pay for every meal and open the door for his lady and carry her purse at the mall while simultaneously looking completely unhappy about it. On the flip side of that, he is rough around the edge. He drinks long neck beers, talks about his muggle truck more than he should, is more likely punch punch someone than try and have a real conversation about his feelings.
From the day he was born, Taze was physically gifted. He played baseball growing up, ran every morning, played little league football in the neighboring town, and he was actually good, if I might add. To Taze, athletics is a way of life. He is not the kind of guy that would ever give up. In fact, if he, or his team, ever did lose, he would blame himself and get really pissed about it, even if it wasn't his fault. After all, he could have done more.
Taze is protective of his friends and a funny guy. Although he doesn't take school completely seriously, he isn't stupid. He understands and is good at the things that interest him, like quidditch and lunch. And potions, strangely enough. But that's beside the point. He is goofy and sarcastic. Taze is that guy that will hear about a bad experience or hear a tragic story and try to crack a joke about it to break that awkward tension. Generally the joke is distasteful and earns him many rotten looks from the more sensitive people in his immediate surroundings.
But Taze isn't all sunshine and bad ass country music. He has his flaws. Like his temper. Man can he get mad. And it's not just yell at people when they get too close mad. It's punch a hole in the nearest wall, break his knuckles mad. It is generally accompanied by a series of unmentionable cuss words and a few middle fingers sent in the direction of anyone who has anything to say about it.
This temper can cause people to dislike Taze, or thing he is a time bomb, or something. Which, he isn't, but how would they know? He also knows that some people are afraid of him. After all, he is a tall, strong looking, athletic guy, with a possessive streak and a temper who punches harder than a kangaroo kicks. Anyone with any sense would probably stay away simply out of self-preservation.
But, despite all that rage he has, Taze is a good guy. He is cool and can be nice in a rude American sort of way. He is funny and blunt. He is brave and determined. And if you can push through his intense personality, you will find a great, loyal friend who will protect you from basically anything and try to make you smile, even when you don't feel like it.

WAY BACK WHEN...
[ HISTORY ]
Diana and Andrew were high school sweet hearts. They started dating when Diana was in her freshman year of high school and Andrew was in his junior year. To everyone around them, they were the perfect couple. They were perfectly in sync all the time, never fought in front of anyone, had the same interests, the same dreams about college, everything. It was like god made them for each other.
Their relationship went on like that for nearly two years. When it came time for Andrew Fowler to graduate from high school, their love hit a road block. Do they stay together and try the long distance thing, which him going away to State? Or do they break it off and do everyone a favor? After a passionate night together, they decided to break it off. Diana cried hysterically after he left for college, and suddenly started feeling sick all the time. Assuming it was simply depression, she and everyone around her thought nothing of it. But the future held a different plan.
Two months before she turned sixteen, Diana found out she was pregnant. And this dilemma presented her with a very stressful and difficult decision. If she told Andrew about the baby, she knew he would leave school and come home to her immediately. He would probably marry her and they would have an okay life together, living with the regret of destroying each others futures and letting that eat away at them until they were white trash just like everyone else that stayed in their little hillbilly town. Or she could keep it a secret. It isn't hard to guess which one she decided on. She dropped out of school and stayed at home with her parents, who didn't even seem all that surprised by the news. And that is when Taze Michael Fowler was born.
Tazr was an adorable little boy and was well loved by his grandparents, whom he lived with for the first year of his life. Diana and Taze were inseparable and, in fact, Diana didn't even regret having him. She felt, for the first time, like she had found the thing she was meant to be, a mother. But the first year bliss couldn't last. Finally, Andrew came home for the summer and, when he decided to visit Diana after hearing some pretty crazy rumors, he discovered Taze, a boy with his blue eyes and her mousy brown hair.
Needless to say, he was furious. Taze had to get his rage streak from somewhere, right? But he did eventually get over it long enough to sit down and have a conversation with Diana about the future. He insisted on dropping out of school and coming back to be a father to his son. But Diana wouldn't even listen to the idea. She demanded that he return to school and finish up his Ag degree. Somehow, they were able to work it out and Diana moved to the little college town and married Andrew.
Not long after their cohabitation, Diana became pregnant again. This time, sharing in the pregnancy and the love from the beginning with her, Andrew became way too protective of his pregnant wife. He even went to so far to carrying her when she got too big there towards the end. But after a hormonal nine months of battles and arguing, Kara Madison was born.
The two kids got along, for the most part. There was no shortage and hair pulling and "I'm not touching you!"s. But they were working just like any other family would, which was fascinating to Diana. She had never been happier before in her entire life. Andrew earned his ag degree and started a business in the small college town selling ag equipment and contractor services. They made pretty good money and, eventually, the Fowler family was able to buy a house with a pool out on a ranch.
This ranch was where Taze grew up. He played in the fields, rode horses, two-stepped with his mom, worked on the ranch with his father, and did everything any wealthy farm boy would do. And then, everything changed. Just before Taze turned nine, Andrew was offered a job in London, England running an agricultural based business. The job paid him better than anything he could have gotten in America and it was basically impossible to turn it down. So the small town boy, with his small town family, was forced to move to a foreign country and live in a big city.
It wasn't long after that, just before Taze turned twelve, that he received a letter accepting him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This moment was iconic for Taze and his family. Sure, everyone knew about witches and wizards and, yeah, all the kinds he knew always daydreamed about that moment when they found out they were muggle born. But no one ever actually believes it will happen to them. Confused, Taze was shipped off to his first year at Hogwarts to learn magic.
He fell into a niche there that fit him perfectly. The fields around the school reminded him vaguely of home and it didn't take long for him to realize that he was good at quidditch. He made his house team as Beater when he was in his second year at Hogwarts. He also found, with the help of a rather excitable professor, that he wasn't half bad at potions, or as Taze calls it, glorified chemistry. He easily breezed through difficult incantations and brews, never even blinking at the look of awe and jealousy that seemed to be a fashion trend in his classroom.
Now, Taze is in his Seventh year at Hogwarts and he is hoping to become a professional Quidditch player once he graduates. Of course, if that plan doesn't work out, he did hear that the Potions professor job might be opening up....
